my dog who was 12 when she died had to be put down it was a rainy Monday it was off and on rain it was the best monday ever at school but when my parents told me maggie got put down when was at scool i was upset for so long after that

Well... That one hurt! Lost my Maggie just yesterday, in the middle of a pouring rain, Monday she'd lost the ability to use her legs and Tuesday she was gone... Too many lyrics hitting WAY too close to home on this one! Probably be a good while before I can listen to it again 💯💔🐾

I think most people are just missing the meaning to this song. But to understand it you would have to have been in abusive relationships. This song is talking about the point you get to when you've fought for years to stand up for yourself, tried to walk away, you just can't. My Gracie girl crossed the rainbow bridge 05/28/2024. She was a golden retriever. 13 years old. She was healthy until about the last 3 weeks. Her hips just gave out I made her promise years ago and it was time for me to keep that promise losing her is a pain like I have never felt I will always love you my Gracie girl

I knew the day was coming. I sat there and took it knowing she was right. When it was over I just got up and told her she was right, said take care. I got into my truck, the second song that came on was Fire Away. Never thought a song could change a person completely. For 4 years I’ve been seeing a lady 25 years younger than me. Now I’m told I’m a good man and her best friend.

My Maggie was Ginger, a yellow Lab, and she was my best friend for almost 14 years. She’s still around with her own best friend Sophie, a tortoiseshell cat, in urns, on my coffee table, never forgotten, always loved. You can’t beat the love of a good dog or cat. They don’t care what you look like, what you do for a living, where you went to school … their love is eternally true! Mis them both, like Maggie is missed as well. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

I lost my baby boy after 15 yrs. I had him from the time he was 12 hrs old til his passing day. That was in Feb. and I hurt and cry today still as if it were yesterday. He was a wonder fur baby. One if the best. His birth mom passed away after she gave birth to him and 11 more babies. The lady that the mom belong to wasnt able to take care of all those pups by herself so I helped her place all the pups in homes and I took him. We named him Zues. He was a pit mix but the gentlest pit mix you would ever want to see. It’s no lie that if you are a true animal lover, they do become like one of your kids. Thats how I felt about Zues. He was like my child. Letting him cross over the rainbow bridge was the hardest thing I ever had to do. A piece of me went with him that day. I have another fur baby that is 8 yrs. old, hes a long hair chihuahua. After he crosses over the rainbow bridge Im done with fur babies. It hurts to much to lose them. Ive lost two, one in 2016, then Zues in 2024. Yes I firmly believe dogs have souls. If you interact with them enough they talk to you and you can understand them. RIP Foxy 2016 & Zues 2024. Momma loves and misses yall.

I'll never forget when my Maggie stopped eating.....I knew what that meant.....When the Vet told me there was nothing more she could do for little Maggie Mae,....A part of me died with my little girl.......

I just lost my 16 year old baby yesterday. I grew up with this sog and so did my siblings. I feel lost now that I’m not gonna be coming home to her waiting in the middle of the room for me. We will be framing your paw and nose print soon along with your vile of fur and the little heart they gave us. All of us grew up with you even though the human society said you wouldn’t make it past 10. I’ve never wanted to cry so hard after losing you. I’m sorry we couldn’t save your ashes but it would have been so much harder having to go back and grab that little box. I wish there was something we could have done to help you but ending your suffering was the best thing we could do. We never got your leg fixed, you lost so much fur, you had bumps and skin tags everywhere, you could barely walk, you never really ate or drank unless someone was home with you, you had an ear infection that we couldn’t fix, and you got bloodshot eyes and stys before you had to go away, and we took you for granted. I never wanted this to happen. I wish it was all a dream. I’ll see you again sometime, hopefully. Theres so many memories I have with you. It was so hard watching the vet put you down. It got hard to breathe. I couldn’t see straight. I couldn’t hear. I felt dizzy trying to stand up after sitting next to your lifeless body. Even watching the vets cry made my heart sink. Erin now has the blanket you died in and I have the blanket you slept in. It hurts to think about the fact you’re gone. I hope you’re doing well baby. Please forgive me.

I just lost my hound dog named rascal a week or two ago and I didn’t just lose my dog I lost my brother. He knew things about me and things i did that no one else knew. I miss him so much and this song makes me cry everytime I hear it now. Rest in Peace Rascal Pup we got a lot of fetch and wrestling to catch up on.❤❤❤
